GravyBaby (Famous for Pies)
Had been hanging around Taman Desa these few months but never had a chance to cafe hop because was too busy with work lol. So on this random night, we just decided to hop on the car & drive around Taman Desa to look for good food and we found GravyBaby by accident. This place is nicely built up with Broadway type of lighting. It is hard to not notice them if you drive pass by.
Had look up online for a bit & found out that their chef used to work in British military club and there is a reason for all these massive interior built-up.
The whole concept made me feel like a star who's at the studio waiting for a shoot. With all the director's chair & marble table top. Also, the back part with lots of light bulb design around the mirrors looks exactly like how the make up room would look like, very Hollywood like!
For this option, we could have one gravy out of three & two sides out of three.
He chose this combination as it can bring out the best of all - Classic. All pie, sides & gravy complements each other perfectly & the mash which is baked to slight crisps on top but smooth in the inside really just gives you an exciting journey while digging into it. Just by looking at the color, you could tell that their classic English sauce is da boom. The flavour sure do lift the name of meat gravy - packed with taste. Personally love love love the buttery mash very much, silky and airy like potatoes sliding in your mouth.

This pie I chose is a fish pie, comprising smoked haddock, cod, salmon & prawns. Not fishy at all in fact, I like this dish more than the lamb shepherd pie, probably because the lamb tasted too strong. (For y'all who likes the taste of lamb, pls do try the Lamb Shepherd Pie!)

For all the lemonade/sour-tongue lovers, this is definitely the drink specially made for you! This sweet & sour drink gives you an interesting experience while you're sipping into it. The pies have it: GravyBaby's specialities prove pretty satisfying - thick but tender crusts, sliced open to reveal tastily prepared fillings, served fresh & warm, paired with enjoyable sides. Also, the menu is extremely extensive - expect various salads, pizza, soups, cakes & etc - each of which conveys certain merits.
